Conférence internationale sur les Changements Climatiques:
Une réalité dans les trajectoires de développement.
Modélisation Outil Spatial et Adaptation

L’Agence Spatiale Algérienne (ASAL) organise, avec le soutien du Bureau des Affaires Spatiales des Nations Unies (OOSA), une Conférence Internationale sur la problématique des changements climatiques et la pertinence de l’outil spatial, intitulée « Changement Climatique : une réalité à prendre en compte dans les trajectoires de développement : modélisation, outil spatial et adaptation », du 04 au 06 Octobre 2015 à Alger.
Cette conférence, animée par des experts de différentes disciplines, sera organisée en sessions plénières suivies d’ateliers parallèles avec pour objectifs de :
– Faire le point sur le changement climatique et ses impacts potentiels dans la région méditerranéenne ;
– Identifier les voies et moyens de développement des connaissances scientifiques en matière de changement climatique, en particulier grâce à l’outil spatial, propres à la région méditerranéenne ;
– Partager les expériences et les meilleurs pratiques en matière d’adaptation et d’adoption de stratégies locales, nationales et régionales et identifier les domaines potentiels pour la coopération régionale.
Cette conférence, qui vise également à renforcer l’action de concertation régionale sur la question du changement climatique et l’apport de l’outil spatial, aboutira à une plateforme de recommandations, qui servira lors des négociations internationales sur les changements climatiques à la Conférence des Parties (COP21) prévue du 30 novembre au 11 décembre 2015 à Paris.

International Conference On « Climate Change:
A reality to be considered in the development trajectories: modeling, space tool and adaptation »
Algiers, Algeria, 4-6 October 2015
The Algerian Space Agency (ASAL) will organize, with the support of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), an International Conference on climate change and relevance of the space tool, entitled « Climate Change: a reality to be considered in the development trajectories: modeling, space tool and adaptation « , from 04 to 06 October 2015 in Algiers.
The conference, leaded by experts of different fields, will be organized on plenaries followed by parallel workshops, aiming at:
– Taking stock of the climate change and its potential impacts in the Mediterranean region
– Identifying ways and means to develop scientific knowledge of the region in the field of climate change, in particular through the space tool;
– Sharing experiences and best practices in terms of adaptation, and adopting local, national and regional strategies and identifying potential areas for regional cooperation.
This conference aims also at strengthening regional cooperation on the issue of climate change and the contribution of space technology in order to lead to the formulation of a platform of recommendations that will serve during international negotiations on climate change at the conference of Parties (COP21) to be held in Paris from 30 November to 11 December 2015.
